Tony,

You have renewed my faith in "service". I needed (on behalf of my son) to get a banged up car from a towing yard in Wellington to a residential address outside of Napier. I didn't understand the logistics or the constraints of the state of the car. I expected this to be a frustrating awful nightmare. It should have been a nightmare - but you made it all happen - elegantly. I know, it's not a word often used for vehicle transporting, but it's the right word for how you operate.

What you did, and what is different from other companies is; you understood I didn't really know what it was I was trying to do, but you spoke to me respectfully. When you found out the car was not easily movable you talked to me about how you would find a solution for me. (I can't tell you the relief of hearing solution instead of problem). You took it upon yourself to actively engage with the towing yard that had the car and you saved me money by sorting out arrangements with them. And, best of all, you communicated with me at every step. You kept me informed. You kept every commitment you made.

You took on my logistical nightmare and not only sorted it, but made the whole experience positive. Elegant Tony, elegant.

Simply the best service I've had in years and highly recommended.

Hi Tony,

I would just like to thank you and your team at Captain Transporter for the impressive service that myself and my family received just recently.

We required your services to transport a large caravan from a rural address in Hastings to us here in Rotorua and so found you on Google at www.captaintransporter.co.nz

We understand that this job was not as easy as it seemed.

Not only were your services carried out immediately which was a great and unexpected relief for us, my mother in law from Hastings told us that the man who picked up the caravan should be commended for his great work, that he was unable to get the truck down the long driveway and had to use other means to take the caravan from a paddock on the property to the truck.

She told us that he did this all himself and with a lovely disposition, and to make sure that he was thanked appropriately.

She also mentioned that for your services, our money was very well spent.

Also a special thanks to the man who dropped off our caravan, we believe he travelled all the way from Palmerston North in rather unfit weather.

Thanks to his thoughtfulness we received our caravan in one piece, the poor man had to extend his travels when weather did not permit and the need for securing the load and waiting out the weather arose.

All in all i would really like to thank you all, Tony for the absolutely wonderful attitude and amazing helpful disposition, and all of your team that were involved in this for us.

It was a great relief to see that great customer service is still out there, and i assure you, if we know of people at anytime needing your kind of service we will make sure the business comes your way, and if ever the need arises again we will most definitely be contacting you.

Transportation tips

Have enough petrol in your vehicle for it to be driven on and off the truck.

Drivable means the vehicle can be driven onto the transporter under it's own power.

If the vehicle is changing ownership, remember to arrange appropriate documentation.

Make sure you tie the key to the vehicle. (Applies to Motorbikes and Quads)

If there is more than one key, either have one posted to the new address or tie the two together. Don't leave the spare key on its own in the vehicle.

Vehicles are transported door to door apart from Motorbikes, which are depot to depot.

People movers and 4 wheel drive vehicles are considered as vans.

If the car is an oversized car, e.g. large American cars from the 1960s, you will need a special quote.

For payment for the transportation, once we have all the details for the job, we send you an email with our bank account details and a reference number so as you can deposit the funds directly into our bank account with the reference number.

When you push the "Place Booking" button you are making a booking and therefore commiting to paying for this transportation.
